What is Microblading & Eyebrow Embroidery?
Microblading is commonly referred to as eyebrow embroidery, microstroking, and feather touch among other similar names. Microblading of the eyebrows is currently the most popular of all eyebrow embroidery techniques that is taking the beauty industry by storm. This is a semi-permanent makeup procedure that is carried out by a qualified technician using a special hand-tool which holds disposable microblades. The procedure is completely manual using only a special pen know as a “Tebori” which deposits pigments superficially without any machine intervention. This procedure makes the treatment less painful and less traumatic to the skin as opposed to permanent makeup. This technique is still considered a form of semi-permanent makeup as the effect will typically last for 12 – 24 months.

Does Microblading Hurt?
Like all semi-permanent procedures microblading will require a topical anesthetic which can be topped up throughout the procedure making it relatively painless. The microblades do not penetrate the skin as deep as normal permanent makeup and other forms of tattooing, this causes less discomfort and a more natural look. The area of skin which is undergoing the treatment must first be disinfected by the technician prior to commencing the work. Sterile microblades are then used to deposit pigment to the required facial area.
